Colegio Amanecer, one of the centres accredited by the Community of Madrid for the teaching of the title TSEAS closes an alliance with the training company PadelMBA to incorporate padel in the teaching contents of the training.
The TSEAS Professional Training is a training cycle endorsed by the Ministry of Education oriented towards the teaching and dynamisation of physical, sporting, and recreational activities. It is, together with the Higher Technician in Physical Conditioning, the only higher professional training courses in the field of sport.
Padel, on the other hand, has become one of the leading sports at present, being already the second most practised sport in Spain, with more than 4 million users and 75 thousand federated players. Additionally, this growth in users has been accompanied by a growth in the infrastructure for its practice, being in 2021, for example, the year in which the number of padel courts exceeded the number of tennis courts, with 14,000 and 13,385 respectively. On a global level, padel tennis is also experiencing exponential growth levels, particularly in regions such as Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Despite its undisputed position and preference among users, it is due to its status as a young sport, because although it was invented in the year 62, its expansion and subsequent take-off in our country did not occur until the last decades of the last century, added to its still not being recognised as an Olympic sport, that its formative presence is very much relegated with respect to other sports modalities.
By signing this agreement, the school in Alcorcón wants to complement the academic curriculum of Professional Training with specific training in padel with the goal of matching the increasing demand for the practice of this sport while offering, at the same time, a differentiating feature with respect to the current educational offer in TSEAS.
To do so, it has sealed an alliance with PadelMBA, a leading Spanish company in padel training characterised by applying an innovative methodology that combines online and face-to-face learning. The company, which has been operating since 2020 and has established itself as a leader in its sector, offers a wide range of training courses including online courses, professional certifications (endorsed by entities such as USPTA and USPA), university masters and classroom training.
The pilot project will include the training of the second-year students of the TSEAS cycle, instructing them in various fundamental aspects of padel so that they can apply this knowledge during their subsequent professional performance.
